Owen Sound, sometimes called 'The Scenic City,' lies at the bottom, West corner, of Georgian Bay.Tenth Street is the main road through town and stretches from the top of the West hill which merges into the 21 to Southampton, to the top of the East hill which connects into the 26, to Meaford, or the 6/10 South.

The Sydenham river divides the town in two, duplicating all the avenues to either East or West. Be sure to turn North off Tenth Street at 2nd Avenue WEST, the junction with the CAA.

This road starts off as 2nd Avenue West, until you come to the lights at the Canadian Legion and a small shopping mall. Go straight over and the road turns into The Eddie Sargent Parkway. Past the marina on the right and again the road changes, this time into 3rd Avenue West. There is just one more change and that is into Grey Road 1, but as you will have now realized, it's the same road right from Tenth Street.

Keep going and you will pass the Owen Sound Golf Course, on your left, past there you cross a small bridge with The Indian River Store on your right. Just a short distance past the store you will see the signs (two) for Balmy Beach Road. Turn right, after a couple of hundred yards or so (metric equivelent unknown) the road bends left and runs parallel to Gey Road 1, carry on and you will start to notice little green signs with numbers, these are house and fire numbers. Keep going until you reach 503.
